Aquashield

Indigo Aquashield easily penetrates small pores in the plaster that prevent water from entering, leaving the wall free from dampness & salt for a long time. It resists water penetration to 4 bars negative hydrostatic pressure (ASTM D7088).

Surface preparation & application

    Surface cracks less than 3mm must be filled with Indigo Crack Heal Paste. If cracks are bigger then use a mixture of white cement and fine sand in the ratio 1:3 by volume. For New Surfaces:
    1. For newly plastered surfaces allow 3-4 weeks curing time prior to painting. Apply two coats of Indigo Aquashield without dilution, with a forced coverage of 3.8 to 4.9 Sq.m / L and an intercoat interval of 4-6 hours.
    2. For a smooth finish apply two coats of Indigo Polymer OR Waterproof putty followed by a coat of Indigo WTCP Primer. Apply two coats of the desired topcoat.
    Repainting (Surface in good condition)
    1. Sand the surface with abrasive paper grit no.180. Apply a single coat of Indigo Aquashield without dilution, with a forced coverage of 3.8 to 4.9 Sq.m / L.
    2. Allow 4-6 hours of drying time.ndigo Polymer Putty / Waterproof Putty can be applied if required, followed by a coat of Indigo WTCP Primer. Apply two coats of the desired topcoat.
    Repainting (Surface in poor condition / affected by dampness**/ Efflorescence)
    1. Remove all traces of previous coating till plaster in the affected areas become visible. For best results extend the same treatment for upto 1 feet beyond the affected area.
    2. Apply a coat of Indigo Aquashield without dilution, with a forced coverage of 3.8 to 4.9 Sq.m / L. Allow 4-6 hours of drying time.
    3. Apply a second coat with the brush movement perpendicular to the first coat with a forced coverage of 3.8 to 4.9 sq.m / L and allow 4-6 hours of drying time.
    4. Indigo Polymer Putty / Waterproof Putty can be applied if required, followed by a coat of Indigo WTCP Primer. Apply two coats of the desired topcoat.
